About Us

SAN MIGUEL LOVE

Over the past 10 years there has been a shift in the demographics of San Miguel de Allende as more young people with families have been attracted to our small city.  Thanks to this, today, San Miguel is buzzing with a youthful vibrancy and bursting with creative initiatives. The special charm of "old Mexico" can still be found here, but it is mixed with sophistication and the ability to have all the comforts of home.

We now have it all: a rich cultural history, an exciting culinary scene, a family-first culture, the perfect climate, a deep sense of community, lower living costs, and two international airports nearby. This small city has quickly become an ideal place for, not only vacationing but also for raising a family abroad, where children are able to assimilate and adapt with great ease.

San Miguel de Allende is a city full of fiesta, discovery, and family connection. San Miguel Kids is here to help you navigate it and experience it to its fullest.

Meet Amber

OWNER AND OPERATOR

Amber is the heart behind San Miguel Kids. Raised in San Miguel de Allende by an American mother and Mexican father, she grew up fully immersed in both cultures—naturally bilingual, bicultural, and at home in both worlds.

A natural hostess, Amber has always loved welcoming others and sharing the magic of San Miguel. Today, as a mother of two, she is focused on raising worldly, bilingual, bicultural children—just as she was.

While her family now spends part of the year in the United States, their roots in San Miguel run deep. They return often for holidays and summers, staying closely connected to their home, their community, and the life they’ve built there. No matter where life takes them, San Miguel remains home.

How San Miguel Kids Began

As San Miguel grew into a global destination, Amber found herself helping families navigate daily life—organizing playdates, supporting school communities, and connecting newcomers with trusted local resources. She became a go-to for guidance, known for her warmth, honesty, and deep local knowledge.

San Miguel Kids was born from that experience—a way to help families feel confident, connected, and at ease in a new place.

Through it all, Amber’s work has remained rooted in community, connection, and a genuine desire to help others feel at home in San Miguel.

Whether you’re visiting for the first time or building a life here, Amber is here to help you feel not just prepared—but truly at home.
