About Us

SAN MIGUEL LOVE

In recent years there has been a shift in the demographics of San Miguel de Allende as more young people with families have been attracted to our small city.  Thanks to this, today, San Miguel is buzzing with a youthful vibrancy and bursting with creative initiatives. The special charm of "old Mexico" can still be found here, but it is mixed with sophistication and the ability to have all the comforts of home.

Thanks to more schooling options sprouting up all over town, we now have it all: a rich cultural history, an exciting culinary scene, a family-first culture, the perfect climate, a deep sense of community, lower living costs, and two international airports nearby. This small city has quickly become an ideal place for, not only vacationing but also for raising a family abroad, where children are able to assimilate and adapt with great ease.

San Miguel de Allende is a city full of fiesta, discovery, and family connection. San Miguel Kids is here to help you navigate it and experience it to its fullest.

Meet Amber

OWNER AND OPERATOR

Meet Amber, the owner, and force behind San Miguel Kids. Having grown up along with San Miguel de Allende and raised by an American mother and a Mexican father in this small town, she is both bilingual and bicultural, and she is innately able to blend between both cultures.

A natural hostess since a young age, Amber has been welcoming newcomers to San Miguel and introducing them to the magic of Mexico. Now with a family of her own – the lucky mother to two beautiful daughters, Miss M and Baby O, and a proud wife to her Army officer husband and security specialist, George – she is just the person to introduce and guide you and your family to our town.

After her first daughter was born and started school, Amber connected with families from all across the world. Thrilled by the evolution of San Miguel, her organizational capabilities came to the forefront as she made play dates, became involved in the schools, organized family events, and volunteered at nonprofits, where she proved herself to be the one to go to for anything and everything. Always smiling brightly and willing to help, she gives her time and skills freely and generously.

Realizing visiting and relocating to a foreign country can be stressful, Amber set out to offer her wide knowledge of San Miguel and help other adventure seekers navigate this beautiful town.

Thus, San Miguel Kids was born.

In addition to running San Miguel Kids, Amber works for Mexico NewsDaily and serves on the board of directors of local nonprofit, Mano Amiga. She is also an active member of the PTA for the Academia International School and the former Executive Director of Casita Linda, A.C.

So whether you are living here, just visiting, or considering a move, Amber can lead and ease the way. There is really nothing she can’t provide, and even if it’s not within easy reach, she can find it. Her honesty, integrity, and knowledge are the hallmarks of someone you can rely on.
