About Us
SAN MIGUEL LOVE
In recent years there has been a shift in the demographics of San Miguel de Allende as more young people with families have been attracted to our small city. Thanks to this, today, San Miguel is buzzing with a youthful vibrancy and bursting with creative initiatives. The special charm of "old Mexico" can still be found here, but it is mixed with sophistication and the ability to have all the comforts of home.
Thanks to more schooling options sprouting up all over town, we now have it all: a rich cultural history, an exciting culinary scene, a family-first culture, the perfect climate, a deep sense of community, lower living costs, and two international airports nearby. This small city has quickly become an ideal place for, not only vacationing but also for raising a family abroad, where children are able to assimilate and adapt with great ease.
San Miguel de Allende is a city full of fiesta, discovery, and family connection. San Miguel Kids is here to help you navigate it and experience it to its fullest.

Meet Amber
OWNER AND OPERATOR
Perfect. Here is your updated version — structure preserved, tone elevated, life stage reflected, and rooted in who you are now.
Meet Amber, the owner and force behind San Miguel Kids. Having grown up alongside San Miguel de Allende and raised by an American mother and a Mexican father in this small town, she is both bilingual and bicultural — innately able to move between cultures with ease.
A natural hostess from a young age, Amber has always welcomed newcomers to San Miguel, introducing them to the magic of Mexico and the warmth of its people. Now the proud mother to two beautiful daughters, Miss M and Little O — one navigating her teenage years and the other in elementary school — Amber is deeply committed to raising worldly, bilingual, bicultural children.
While her family recently moved to the United States for career and educational opportunities, their roots in San Miguel run deep. They spend holidays and the summer in the town that shaped her, where extended family, lifelong friendships, and their home remain. San Miguel is not simply a chapter in their story — it is home. The phases of life may take them between two worlds, but their connection to this one endures, and they will return.
How did San Miguel Kids start?
After her first daughter was born and began school, Amber connected with families from all over the world. As San Miguel evolved into an increasingly international community, her organizational strengths naturally emerged — arranging playdates, engaging in school life, organizing family gatherings, and volunteering with local nonprofits. She quickly became someone others relied on for guidance, recommendations, and connection. Always generous with her time and knowledge, she built a trusted network that remains strong to this day.
Recognizing that visiting or relocating to a foreign country can feel overwhelming, Amber set out to offer her deep understanding of San Miguel to help families navigate this beautiful town with confidence and ease.
Thus, San Miguel Kids was born.
In addition to running San Miguel Kids, Amber has worked with Mexico NewsDaily, served on the board of directors for Mano Amiga, been an active PTA member at Academia International School, worked in real estate at CDR Forbes Global Properties and previously served as Executive Director of Casita Linda, A.C. Her work has always reflected her commitment to community, service, and connection.
Whether you are living in San Miguel, visiting for a season, or considering a move, Amber offers more than logistics — she offers perspective, insight, and a bridge between cultures. Her honesty, integrity, and lifelong ties to the community make her someone you can trust, wherever you are in your journey.
